PRACTICAL USE OF AI (LLMs) IN A RADIOLOGIST’S DAILY PRACTICE: HOW DO I DO IT?

Learning Objectives: Provide a practical and pragmatic perspective on the use of AI tools based on large language models (LLMs) currently available on the market to support tasks in a radiologist’s professional life that do not necessarily involve report writing. Examples include academic writing, extraction and structuring of data from tables, basic data analysis, and studying or learning new topics. Course Description / Content Overview: AI tools based on large language models (LLMs) have the potential to transform problem-solving in everyday medical practice. Using real-world examples, strategies, and hands-on exercises for daily use, Drs. Bruno and Igor will address the following topics in this session: Key Topics: The LLM landscape (different ChatGPT models, zero-shot vs. few-shot prompting, RAG, and agents). Practical tips on using AI for high-quality and ethical text production and academic writing. Practical strategies for studying new topics more efficiently. How to structure and extract clinical information from spreadsheets and unstructured text. Tools such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, NotebookLM, Consensus, and OpenEvidence.

DIFFUSE LIVER DISEASE: IMPORTANCE AND OBJECTIVE ASSESSMENT USING MULTIPLE IMAGING METHODS

Learning Objectives: By the end of this course, participants will be able to: Understand the importance of diffuse liver disease. Learn how to measure fibrosis and steatosis using CT and MRI, including objective assessment and common pitfalls. Learn how to quantify iron and fat in the liver using MRI, employing both advanced techniques and conventional methods. Learn how to quantify liver fibrosis, understanding stiffness values and their clinical applications. Understand the role of CT in the evaluation of these patients. Become familiar with more advanced and alternative methods of assessment. Course Description: This course focuses on the evaluation of diffuse liver disease, including the assessment of steatosis, iron deposition, and fibrosis using CT and MRI. The approach emphasizes the technical foundations and objective measurements required for accurate analysis.
